A day late and a dollar short

It is clear now after just a few days from the terrorist attack in Orlando Florida that Homeland Security and all of its agencies were a day late and a dollar short in identifying and effecting legal constraints on Omar Mateen. Omar declared he committed the murder of 49 innocent victims and wounding of another 50 individuals under the banner of Islam. It is particularly clear that the FBI failed at all levels to identify Omar as a terrorist and in this case an Islamic terrorist killer. It is alleged that Homeland Security including the FBI have been instructed not to pursue Muslims activities in the mosque, on the internet and in personal interviews with neighbors and school mates to determine if a subject is leaning toward Islamic terrorism. If this is true it is just wrong and another example of political correctness gone amuck.

While our President and former AG don’t want to acknowledge that we have a major problem with Islamic terrorist they will have to come around soon. We must aggressively ferret out potential killers in the Islamic community via all sources available and without PC directions from the federal administration.

He can’t win

The press continues its full court press to destroy Trump’s creditability with the American public. It is clear at all levels of the press coverage of this year’s presidential race that “reporters” will attempt to highlight questions about Trump’s intellectual capabilities and moral fortitude to exercise the office of President of the United States.

On the other hand, the mass media will position Hillary as “the sane one” with logical plans for the next four years assuring a continuation of the Obama policies for governing this country.

It is tragic that the mass media has decided to attempt to tip the power for the presidency to further their own beliefs of how our country should look and act.  Is there a chance the media power brokers might lose, of course but it is not likely.  After all there will be  five months of a mass media barrage designed with one purpose, to sink Trump.  I don’t think he can win, whether he should or shouldn’t.  It is sad that we have given the decision to select the next president in the hands of people like Andrea Mitchell, Chris Matthews, Brian Williams, Chris Cuomo, Katie Couric, Mat Lauer, George Stephanopoulos, Charlie Rose, Scott Pelley, Chris Wallace and Wolf Blitzer to name just a few of the reporters aligned against Trump. And of course supported by the lesser news personalities like Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.  Still it is a pretty impressive array of press warriors with one objective; stop Trump at all costs, including the impartiality of a free press.
